Chirag Agarwal, PhD
Research Fellow in Biomedical Informatics, Harvard Medical School

Chirag Agarwal is a Research Fellow in Dr. Marinka Zitnik's lab where he is co-advised by Dr. Hima Lakkaraju. Agarwal's research would be focussed on developing novel interpretable machine learning models to combat COVID-19. He earned his Ph.D. in 2020 from the University of Illinois at Chicago for his work on the Robustness and Explainability of Deep Neural Networks. Agarwal's thesis talks about the three pillars of Performance, Robustness, and Interpretability which are necessary for deploying reliable machine learning in real-life applications.
