Creating Biomedical Dashboards with R Shiny

2 credits, Fall Semester

Research projects and pipelines often generate output that requires additional interpretation or summarization based on specific user needs. Web-based dashboards are a great way of providing users with a set of tools to quickly perform these tasks. This not only saves time, but allows easier access by eliminating the need for direct interaction with the underlying code.

This course will teach you Shiny, a powerful R package that lets you build custom, web-based applications that can serve as a front-end to R.  You will learn how to build apps from scratch and to convert existing R scripts into a Shiny application.
