Leveraging Data and Computation to Transform Research and Improve Health

AlphaFold 3 Workshop — May 20, 2025
AlphaFold3 can generate highly accurate biomolecular structure predictions directly from amino acid and nucleic acid sequences, including structures that incorporate proteins, DNA, RNA, ligands, ions, and chemical modifications to both proteins and nucleic acids.
CCB is working with HMS Research Computing (RC) to deploy AlphaFold 3 and develop best practices.
The O2 AlphaFold3 module provides the HMS community with access to AlphaFold 3 on the O2 high-performance computing cluster, alleviating the need for individual users to download model weights and large genetic databases (~1TB).
We will offer a joint CCB/RC hands-on workshop to the HMS O2 community on Tuesday, May 20 at 1 pm in the Countway Library, Room L1-032! A virtual option is also available.
Computational Resources
CCB has curated a collection of tools and learning material on computational topics in biomedical science: software packages, online/print textbooks, video series, websites, and databases. The resources cover general introductory material as well as advanced methods in specific areas. There are also links to resources available only to the HMS community.
