The Joseph B. Martin Amphitheater, 77 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston MA 02115
This year, on the 10th anniversary of our annual meeting, we focused on precision medical education in the era of artificial intelligence (AI). AI holds tremendous promise for democratizing and enhancing both medical education and care delivery, but there remain many unanswered questions about implementation, usability, and appropriate guardrails for safety-critical domains like medicine. Moreover, how current medical students, residents, fellows, and professors are already using generative AI in both the classroom and the hospital are underexplored. Will generative AI enable primary care providers and specialists alike to deliver precision medicine across populations? Will these tools reduce or exacerbate persistent healthcare disparities? Will change be driven more by technologists or by care providers? This conference provided a platform to discuss these and other foundational questions.
