August 7 saw the successful finish for DBMI’s newest addition to its educational offerings as 16 undergraduate students from across the country completed a nine-week internship placement consisting of a twice-weekly didactic program, a mentored research project and a communications tutorial. Geared towards natural “quants” with demonstrated interest and/or expertise in the application of quantitative reasoning to biomedical problems, our students also had a great time getting to know Boston. DBMI will mentor these students through their remaining years in college and during their applications to graduate programs.
