Arthea Valderrama

Research Interests: ML/AI in clinical diagnostics, medical imaging, accessible biomedical tools

Arthea received her B.S in Computer Science from UMass Lowell. Her research background involves improving model robustness in biomedical image classification, utilizing ML to predict the effects of unnatural amino acids on knotted proteins, and collaborating with the HIDIVE lab on the development of a dataset and generation pipeline to further AI-powered genomics visualizations. Looking forward, Arthea aims to advance ML applications in biomedical research and clinical decision-making.
