Cecilia received a BS in Diagnostic Genetic Sciences from the University of Connecticut and an MPH in Healthcare Management from Columbia University. Cecilia spent the first six years of her career in cytogenetics and molecular diagnostic laboratories in New York City, initially as a clinical laboratory technologist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and later as a laboratory coordinator and quality systems manager at the New York Genome Center. Cecilia relocated to Boston in 2015 to join the Undiagnosed Diseases Network (UDN) Coordinating Center team. The UDN is a research study funded by the National Institutes of Health to improve and accelerate diagnosis of rare and undiagnosed conditions.
