Gaia-Marie Gerbaka

Research Interests: Computational neuroscience, computer vision, and disease diagnosis using AI.

Gaia-Marie completed her BS in Biomedical Engineering at Brown University. Under Prof. Lee, she optimized gold-nanorod prostheses to restore vision using retinal ganglion cells in cases of photoreceptor degeneration. During her work at LifeCanvas Technologies, she developed algorithms to label beta-amyloid plaques and quantify their proximity to nearby microglial cells in intact 3D rodent brains.
