Master of Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2019

Harry Burke studied cognitive science, but decided he would rather work in biomedical informatics. During his studies, he became interested in the biological and clinical sciences. Burke studied genetics/genomics and clinical science. "I really enjoy logistic regression, artificial neural networks, analysis of variance, as well as non-parametric statistics including Bayesian networks (a form of DAG), to discover the scientific rules that govern our lives." Burke was Editor-in-Chief of the humanities and social sciences section of the Hopkins Undergraduate Research Journal; President of the JHU chapter of Psi Chi, the psychology honors society; and an honors member of Omega Psi, the cognitive science honors society. He intends on pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Informatics.
