Maria Nakhoul's research interests include epigenetic and genomic roles on health and diseases. "I am also interested in drug design, but more specifically personalized medicine. What interested me in the program were deep learning, precision medicine and the application of bioinformatics in health care. After I finish the master’s program I would like to either work for a year or two before I continue on obtaining a PhD or continue to obtain a PhD directly. If I were to work, data analysis or drug design are my highest priority when searching. I plan on pursuing a PhD that is genomics oriented."
