Ming Yu Lu's research interests are software application and development in clinical scenarios including computer-aided decision-making systems, machine learning, and hospital information systems and how to interact with their data sources efficiently. "For me, Harvard BMI offers great courses to learn how to develop and integrate software in clinical surroundings. Entering the program, I would also have the chance to collaborate with the best students from different fields. As for my plan after graduation, I am still considering both possibilities of doing research in clinical informatics as an M.D. or joining healthcare IT companies/startups as a data scientist or software engineer."
