Musaddiq Lodi

Data Scientist/Computational Biologist

Musaddiq Lodi is a Data Scientist / Computational Biologist at the Core for Computational Biomedicine (CCB) at Harvard Medical School. He develops computational approaches that uncover how genes, cells, and regulatory programs shape biology and disease.

Musaddiq completed his PhD in Integrative Life Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he built analytical frameworks for single-cell multi-omics data. In 2025, he joined Merck Research Laboratories as an AI/ML Co-Op on the Methods and Modeling team, contributing to deep learning models for in silico gene perturbation and multimodal learning frameworks for genomic data analysis.

Musaddiq is passionate about tackling challenging biological problems with data-driven techniques and developing open-source tools that are robust and reproducible. He is also interested in rigorous benchmarking to ensure that new methods are evaluated fairly and meaningfully.
