Paola studied at Los Andes University in Bogota, where she worked at the intersection of medicine and bioengineering. She is currently working in the Department of Neurosurgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital as a research fellow. Her interests focus on creating assistive technologies for people in rural areas without medical access. Paola has worked as a physician, teacher and researcher and her next step will include improving the health care system of low-income countries. " Paola is interested in researching bioinformatics, bioengineering, medical devices, global health, and data analysis."
