MMSc in Biomedical Informatics, Class of 2028

Research Interests: Cancer genomics, allele-specific CNA analysis, and biomarker discovery for equitable care

Cynthia Li received her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology and Society from UCLA, with a minor in Digital Humanities. As an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Paul Spellman’s lab, she used R, HPC, and reproducible workflows to analyze tumor-normal SNP array data for allele-specific copy-number alterations and LOH in renal cell carcinoma to investigate clonal heterogeneity. She is broadly interested in cancer genomics and biomedical informatics for biomarker and translational research.
