Salem Karani
Salem Karani received his bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, spent a year working in reservoir modeling at ExxonMobil, and spent this last year doing graduate coursework and research at MIT. His goal is to enable more successful surgical outcomes in the field of plastic surgery, with a focus in pediatric craniofacial procedures. "By leveraging machine learning, statistical models, and clinical information I create computational tools that lead to both a greater understanding of the progression of disease-induced deformities and the outcomes of the surgical techniques used to treat them. I hope to further strengthen my grasp of statistical, informatics, and genetic fundamentals and connect with a network of like-minded collaborators."
