Xintao Qiu is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biomedical Informatics. His expertise, background and techniques are in data mining, machine learning and various data processing including images, complex heterogeneous data sets and multi-sources data streams. "I am very interested in Biomedical Informatics, especially on bioinformatics and genomics as developed and used to improve healthcare. The MMSc in Biomedical Informatics program provides me the opportunity to learn these methods, skills and techniques; explore the use of informatics in translational medicine, and will leverage my knowledge and experience in machine learning and data mining in the biomedical and health care research arena."
