Research Interests: Single Cell RNA Sequencing, Machine Learning, and Disease Diagnosis using AI

Zhaogu Sun completed his BS in Bioengineering: Bioinformatics at UC San Diego. At the Salk Institute, he analyzed nanopore sequencing and single-cell RNA-seq data to study DNA methylation and gene expression in Arabidopsis under drought stress. For his senior design project, he developed tools to identify and annotate leukemic cell clusters using machine learning on flow cytometry data.
