Heather Lyu is a surgical resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a first year Clinical Informatics Fellow at Partners Healthcare. She attended University of Virginia for her undergraduate studies and Johns Hopkins Medical School, where she spent one year in the Department of Surgery to conduct health services and surgical outcomes research. As a resident, she was involved in the EPIC integration and took an interest in improving surgical care delivery with health information technology. Lyu is now taking two years off to complete a clinical informatics fellowship. "Through the Master’s program, I hope to learn more about data extraction and utilization from EHR for research and  standardization of surgical care delivery using health information technology."
