Joaquin Blaya is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Decision Systems Group. "This program will provide me with the knowledge and resources to implement and evaluate open source health IT in resource poor settings in Latin America. During this fellowship I hope to demonstrate that a laboratory system implemented in Peru can reduce the time until Tuberculosis patients stop transmitting this disease and show that a global health IT community of practice provides knowledge to local implementers that improves their organizations."
