Robert El-Kareh, MD, MPH

Biomedical Informatics Research Training Fellow, 2008-2010

Robert El-Kareh is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Clinical and Quality Analysis. "I was drawn to the informatics program in Boston, and specifically to the Division of General Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, by their expertise in clinical decision support. My goal was to learn how to develop and implement electronic systems to improve decision-making and patient safety at the point of care. The training in this fellowship has prepared me to anticipate and confront issues that arise when creating these systems in real-world clinical environments. I plan to create new decision support systems aimed at identifying and reducing diagnostic errors."
