Stacy O'Connor, MD, MMSc

Stacy O'Connor is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Evidence-Based Imaging. The focus of her research is using health information technology (HIT) to improve quality and efficiency in healthcare. She is extending the functionality of a critical results alert system to increase the likelihood a patient will obtain the follow-up care recommended by a specialist and agreed to by a referring physician. "I chose the MMsc in Biomedical Informatics program as I will be able to interact with leaders in HIT and pursue research with CEBI, a unique center which combines research and operations work by computer scientists and physicians from multiple disciplines. I have strong interests in medicine and technology and this fellowship allows me to follow both."
