Vaibhav Patil is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Evidence-Based Imaging. His interests lie mainly in the area of image guided therapy. "Many surgical procedures are done freehand with the physician operating based on intraoperative interpretation of preoperative scans. We hope to demonstrate that real-time image guidance of surgical instruments can improve upon surgical performance."
