*Full-time students are required to pay the University health fee and, if they do not have other insurance, will have to purchase the BC/BS Student Health Insurance Plan. The BC/BS Student Health Insurance Plan fee may be waived with proper documentation. Students in the 2-year part-time accelerated program will be charged half the cost of tuition ($28,709) for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Financial Aid

U.S citizens and U.S. permanent residents may be eligible to apply for financial aid through Harvard Medical School. Information about Graduate Student Financial Aid for Master’s students can be found at https://hms.harvard.edu/education-admissions/masters-degree-programs/financial-aid 

The MBI program is not able to offer direct scholarship support to students at this time. All prospective students are encouraged to seek sources of outside funding to support their studies. Possible opportunities can be found on the Harvard University Committee on General Scholarship Funds website at scholarships.harvard.edu.

Opportunities for reduced tuition from Harvard Medical School are as follows:

Master's Program Tuition Discount for Faculty and Staff at HMS and Affiliated Institutions

Full-time, benefits-eligible faculty and staff at HMS and affiliated institutions/hospitals are eligible for a scholarship equivalent to 10% of the tuition rate for any of the HMS Master's Degree Programs (tuition only). Prospective students who are eligible should indicate this in the appropriate field of the application. 

Dean's Scholarship for Harvard Medical School Master's Students

Beginning in Fall 2021, Harvard Medical School is offering a new scholarship opportunity equivalent to 15% of the full-time tuition rate for any of the HMS Master's Degree Programs. This scholarship opportunity is available to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Only students who have applied and received an offer of admission to the program are able to apply for this scholarship. Details can be found on the Master's Programs Financial Aid Website
