With over 15 years of experience, John Carmichael has deep experience in software engineering, cyber security and product development. After several years as a software engineer, Carmichael became a security engineer and trainer at Security Innovation helping organizations around the world defend against cyber threats. He then joined Safelight Security Advisors as the Head of Product where he built the industry recognized best in class information security awareness offering. Following the sale of Safelight, he returned to his roots taking on software engineering roles with companies such as Maxwell Health and SunLife Financial. Carmichael holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Vermont and a M.S. in Computer Systems Security from Boston University.
