Sam Pullman

Senior Software Engineer, Core for Computational Biomedicine

Sam Pullman has been with the AI and Data Science group in the Core for Computational Biomedicine since early 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer alongside Dr. Nathan Palmer, specializing in containerized backend development, data engineering, and AI applications. Sam hosts weekly office hours and a crash course seminar on LLMs, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices, sharing her knowledge with the academic community. She is passionate about increasing AI literacy in the public and academic community, and developing impactful solutions that leverage AI to improve data infrastructure and operational efficiency. Sam has significantly contributed to the Dean's Innovation Awards for the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Education, Research, and Education, her work being featured and awarded at HMS' Medical Education Day 2024. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Computational Data Science from George Mason University.
